gone to highwater

been absent for quite a while... makes the heart grow fonder hehe

i do have a wealth of images for the blog. and hopefully, i'll have them all up soon...
during my time away, a lot has happened: robbin going to school, me going on sabbatical, getting some spring-cleaning done, getting my road rage on with the innova, going back to design-build and why i do and don't miss that line of work...

for all realistic reasons, 2010 was such a disappointment (save for the above-mentioned highlights); started out with promises, then whimpered itself into hell, all manner of tragedy, heartbreak and scorn on a very personal level. seemingly more psychologically damaging than 2009 was, considering that that was the "one-two punch" year. looked like depression for a while there, but i thank heaven for God, rhon-d, robbin, bianca, papa, mama, and ading, the true foundations of my wellbeing.

and meanwhile, 2011 was off to a bumpy start. but one week into this new year, and things have been picking up at a comfortable pace. there have been a few resolutions from the past year, mostly domestic (although there is the one, that is multinational in nature, that isn't really "moving forward", hence my apathy for that overworked phrase...)

been looking at expanding my "stash" by tapping North American and re-tapping Southeast Asian supply sources, thus firmly establishing myself as the industry darkhorse around here parts haha. plus, the fact that market movements and speculations for 2011 are keeping things more bullish.  let us see...

bigger projects are cropping up here and there...it'll certainly be at a much slower pace, but, best to move in the right direction. don't want to end up with another flash in the pan...

really looking forward to this new year. after all, in the immortal words of Beck, "things are gonna change, i can feel it."

bianca's fave macbook app: photobooth (she's familiar with all its effects)

robbin's fave ipod games: GT Racing motor academy, Asphalt: Audi RS3, Need for Speed Shift, Ferrari GT evolution (notice the pattern here?)
